subsidiary, Burtek Inc. was founded in 1987 by Bruce J. Burton as a consulting and engineering services contracting firm in
Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan.
During this formative time, Burtek became a world-class military and commercial truck modifier and equipment up-fitter. Burtek utilized its engineering prowess to produce several tow tractors, cargo bodies, troop carriers, crane trucks, and integrated van bodies.
Concurrent with its growing competency in the truck field, Burtek also provided engineering services such as Finite Element Analysis (stress, static, dynamic, thermal, etc.,) Air Transportability Analysis, and HVAC design & implementation.
